My History
I grew up in the small farming town of Cashton, WI, raised on a dairy farm in a family that cherished music. Music has been a part of my family for generations. My grandpa was in a polka band called "Chuck and the Woodchucks," which included my grandma, grandpa, uncle, three aunts, and my father. Later, my father and his siblings formed their own band called "Leather & Lace." Their band played a mix of polka, bluegrass, waltzes, classic country, oldies, and contemporary country music. My love and appreciation for various music genres began at a very young age. In high school and college, I played the tenor and alto saxophones, as well as the French horn.

In addition to our musical background, my father and uncle own a stage and sound business called B&B Stage and Sound. B&B handles stage and sound production, including setup, lighting, and sound systems. You may have seen their stages at Oktoberfest in La Crosse, Onalaska Legion Days, Holmen's Kornfest, or Sparta's Butterfest. They can provide everything from small sound systems to major concert stages, lights, and sound for events.

As you can see, music has been in my blood for years. I enjoy continuing the family tradition with a contemporary twist by being a DJ. I couldn't have done this without my family's knowledge and expertise. They provided me with the equipment to help start my own business.
But how did I start? Where did I start you might ask?

It all began when I was a sophomore at Cashton High School, and we had an upcoming homecoming dance. The DJ our school had hired backed out just a few days before the event. In a state of panic, the administration turned to my father and me for help. We decided to assemble a DJ system ourselves.
I had recently purchased an external hard drive and a computer filled with thousands of songs from a family friend who was leaving the DJ business. With this extensive music collection and equipment provided by B&B Stage and Sound, I was able to set up a complete DJ system. The homecoming dance was a huge success, and my high school began booking me for future events. Soon after, word spread about my DJ business, and I was asked to DJ my first wedding for a family friend.

After that wedding, my business really took off. Following high school, I attended Viterbo University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Graphic Design and Digital Media. Recently, I graduated with a Master's in Business Administration.
So where am I now?

I live in Rice Lake, WI, and work at Northwood Technical College. I married the love of my life, Chris Toufar, on July 16, 2022, and I know firsthand what it's like to go through the wedding planning process. Outside of work, I enjoy working out, cooking, staying active outdoors, and exploring new places!
